Delete your account

For PetSpot: Spot & Collect, published by Studio Catray.

You can delete your PetSpot account and everything in it from inside the app, at any time, without asking us. You do not need an account or an email address to do this — it works for guest spotters too.

Delete it yourself, in the app

  1. Open PetSpot and go to the Binder tab.
  2. Tap your name at the top of the screen to open Account & settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm when asked. Deletion happens immediately.

If you have uninstalled the app or can't get to your account, you can delete it from this page. We'll email a 6-digit code to confirm the address is yours, then delete everything straight away — no waiting on us.

Prefer a human? Email privacy@getpetspot.com from the address on your account, with the subject Delete my account.

If you spotted as a guest and never signed in, we have no way to identify your account from an email — there is no address attached to it. Deleting from inside the app is the only way, and it is always available to you there.

What gets deleted

All of the following are permanently removed:

  • Your profile — name, username, bio, and profile picture
  • Every sighting you have posted
  • Every photo you have uploaded, including the stickers made from them
  • Comments and reactions you have left
  • Accounts you follow, and any accounts you have blocked
  • Reports you have submitted about other people's content
  • Your notifications
  • Your sign-in credentials and the account itself

What is kept, and for how long

  • Backups — up to 30 days. Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being overwritten. It is not accessible in the app during that time.
  • Moderation records — kept, anonymised. If an account was ever actioned by a moderator, a record of that action is retained so we can enforce our Terms of Service. The reference to the deleted account is removed, so the record no longer identifies anyone.
  • Records we are legally required to keep, where any apply, for as long as the law requires.

Nothing else is retained. Deletion cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account or its photos once it has been deleted — including for guest spotters, who have no address we could use to verify a recovery request.
